Christopher Radko® Fact Sheet
The first collection of Christopher Radko® ornaments was presented in 1986 and contained a mere 65 European glass ornaments.
Artists in Poland, Germany, Italy, Romania and the Czech Republic contribute their talents to produce Christopher Radko® designs in mouth-blown, hand-painted glass. Made entirely by hand in a 19th century process, it requires seven days to create each piece.
Since 1986 more than 10,000 designs in glass and Home for the Holidays products have been developed.
Christopher Radko® ornaments are sold in over 2,500 stores, including major department stores such as Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue. Many fine independent gift shops and specialty retailers carry the line all year long, and based on exemplary service and selection, many have been designated one of the three categories that make up the “Premiere Retailer” status – Rising Star, Starlight or Galaxy.
Ornaments come in an expansive assortment of themes, sizes and price points. Over half of all Christopher Radko® ornaments sold are given as gifts.
Product licensed by such companies as Volkswagen® and The Muffy VanDerBear® add yet another design element to the assortment.
There are 3 components to the Christopher Radko® brand: Fine European mouth-blown glass ornaments, Home for the Holidays, a varied assortment of decorative tabletop & holiday trim accessories, and Shiny-Brite™, a re-creation of the retro-American ornaments and decorations of the 40’s and 50’s.
The Home for the Holidays collection has expanded to include tabletop limited edition Santas, nutcrackers and an assortment of holiday florals, including pre-lit trees, decorative wreaths and seasonal arrangements.
Each year ornaments are designed for a variety of charitable causes and are used to raise awareness for such organizations as AIDS research, Alzheimers, Animal Rights Organizations, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Breast Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease and Pediatric Cancer.
Additionally, Christopher Radko® produces exclusive ornaments for self-promotion and sale by charitable organizations such as The M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Children's Art Project. A full listing of all charitable ornaments is available on our web site http://www.christopherradko.com/charity.aspx
